SJet Power Valve

Modular Jet Valve for High-Viscosity and Filled Materials

The SJet Power Valve from marco is a piezo dispensing valve for high-viscosity liquids, pastes, and filled materials. It combines direct force transfer to the material with controlled stroke for repeatable dispensing results.

Precisely Adjust Force, Stroke, and Droplet Separation

  • Powerful piezo actuator: Increased piezo volume and the rigid mechanical design support clean droplet separation with high-viscosity and paste-like materials.
  • Controlled Stroke: Integrated stroke measurement and control help maintain consistent dispensing conditions during operation.
  • Adjustable motion profiles: Variable stroke and configurable voltage profiles with adjustable opening and closing ramps allow the valve to be tuned to the specific material and dispensing application.

Valve seat detection and real-time monitoring provide additional process control.

Variants, Equipment, and Integration

The SJet Power Valve is available in two stroke variants: mtv/bem/* with medium stroke and mtv/bel/* with long stroke.

Different valve seat modules enable non-contact dispensing or contact dispensing with a dispensing needle. A heating cartridge for controlled temperature regulation of the dispensing material is integrated into the valve actuator.

Suitable Materials

Materials suitable for dispensing include adhesives and adhesive components, liquid polymers and polymer solutions, solvents, oils, greases, paints, and hot melt adhesives.

Materials containing fillers such as quartz powder, aluminum oxide, aluminum nitride, nickel, silver, or glass can also be dispensed. Dispensing performance depends on the size and concentration of the filler particles.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Material supply and valve actuator are hermetically separated. This protects the actuator mechanism from contamination. The modular valve seats enable quick cleaning or replacement of wetted components and help minimize maintenance downtime.

During cleaning, no liquid may enter the valve actuator. The actuator must not be immersed in solvents. Dry operation must be avoided, as it can damage the valve seat.

The typical service life of the valve actuator exceeds 1 billion closing cycles.
