Valves for High-Precision Dispensing

Maximum Dynamic Performance for Demanding Dispensing Processes

Fast, precise, and powerful: marco dispensing valves are engineered for demanding industrial applications. They dispense low-viscosity liquids, high-viscosity pastes, and filled materials with outstanding repeatability – achieving deviations of up to less than 1% from the target dispense volume.

The technological foundation of many of our valve series is the TorqueBlock actuator, developed by marco. Two independently controllable piezo-active zones generate an active rotary joint that operates without a return spring. A lever converts the resulting torque into a large, precisely controllable working stroke. Combined with the marco SuperiorJet controller and one of more than 200 different valve seats, this technology enables high-performance dispensing valves with short switching times, high efficiency, and exceptional process dynamics.

The valve portfolio covers a wide range of dispensing requirements – from versatile standard applications and high-endurance production processes to the dispensing of extremely high-viscosity materials.

SJet-Power High-Viscosity Valve

The marco SJet-Power High-Viscosity Valve was developed for materials that push conventional dispensing technology to its limits. Extra-wide piezo elements and more than 50% additional piezo volume compared with other marco valve series generate high actuator force and exceptionally high dispensing pressure.

This enables the precise and repeatable dispensing of extremely high-viscosity, difficult-to-flow, highly filled, or paste-like materials. Interchangeable tungsten carbide dispensing needles and specially hardened needle seats increase wear resistance while simplifying cleaning and maintenance.

Combined with SuperiorJet technology, the valve achieves dispensing frequencies of up to 500 Hz and more than one billion closing cycles. The SJet-Power Valve is compatible with nozzles ranging from 15 to 1,200 µm in diameter. For temperature-sensitive materials, optional heat transfer plates can be retrofitted to provide controlled temperature regulation.

Key benefits: Maximum actuator force, high dispensing pressure, reliable dispensing of high-viscosity materials, and wear-resistant components.

Tower Valve

The marco Tower Valves enable high-precision dispensing in applications with limited installation space. Thanks to the vertical arrangement of the piezo element and control unit, they require only a minimal footprint, making them particularly suitable for densely packed production systems and hard-to-access process areas.

Technologically, they are based on the modular valve concept. The actuator remains isolated from the medium, while a ring spring transmits the motion to the metering needle. The metering unit that comes into contact with the medium can be quickly replaced, cleaned, or repaired. This makes Tower valves suitable for short processing times, frequent material changes, and processes that require extensive cleaning.

Specially arranged piezo ceramics combined with SuperiorJet technology enable dispensing frequencies of up to 750 Hz and more than one billion dispensing cycles. Available nozzles for this valve range from 15 to 1,200 µm in diameter. Optional temperature control helps maintain consistent material properties.

Advantages: minimal footprint, flexible dosing unit, short downtime, and precise dosing in tight installation spaces

dispensing technology for marco dispensing: compact valves

Compact Valve

The marco compact valve is designed for a long service life, consistent dosing results, and reliable continuous operation. Unlike the modular valves, the piezo actuator also serves as the dosing needle. The small number of moving parts minimizes wear and increases operational reliability.

The seal seat is securely bolted to the valve body. Combined with the low-wear piezo actuator and SuperiorJet technology, this creates a robust system for long-term production applications with consistent process parameters.

Statistically, the compact valve achieves more than one billion switching cycles; in practice, this figure has already been exceeded tenfold. It dispenses at frequencies of up to 2,000 hertz with a nozzle diameter ranging from 15 to 1,200 µm. Heat-conducting plates help maintain a stable fluid temperature when needed, thereby ensuring consistent viscosity.

Advantages: exceptionally long service life, few wear parts, high process stability, and reliable continuous operation.

The marco Basic Valve is marco's simplest piezo-dispensing valve . It is operated either via an HMI or via the Windows software.

Basic Valve

The marco Basic Valve offers reliable, precision valves for standardized dosing applications. It combines proven piezo technology “Made in Germany” with robust hardware, a compact design, and an attractive price-performance ratio.

The low-wear, temperature-compensated actuator enables repeatable dispensing results at frequencies of up to 500 Hz. No additional cooling is required. The modular design allows different valve seats, nozzles, and fluid connections to be combined, including Luer-lock systems and tubing connections in various diameters.

The valve is easy to operate, quick to clean, and straightforward to integrate into existing processes.

Key benefits: Compact design, attractive pricing, and easy operation.

A compact dispensing valve that runs solely on compressed air and a 24V trigger signal. Particularly suitable for materials containing fillers.

Pneumatic dispensing valve

Our pneumatic dispensing valve is a compact solution for fast, precise dot dispensing. Operation requires only compressed air and a 24 V trigger signal – no separate controller or HMI is needed.

The signal can be supplied directly by a PLC, automation system, robot controller, or I/O module. This reduces installation effort and enables rapid commissioning. The electrically triggered, pneumatically actuated valve achieves up to 20 dispensing cycles per second and can be integrated easily even where installation space is limited.

Advantages: precise dosing, compact design, direct control, and rapid system integration.
